This year Red Bull is also giving opportunity to participants from Latvia to show their skating abilities. Red Bull Crashed Ice is man vs. man battle down a 300-metre long ice track filled with gap jumps, ice steps and razor-sharp hairpin turns. This year Red Bull gave chance in Latvia’s biggest cities everyone to prove they are enough brave and experienced on skates to become members of first Red Bull Crashed Ice Latvia’s team. Together were about 150 skaters.
In the final won participants from Riga - Davis Paipa, Ivans Kokins and Laila Dekmeijere. So their plans for 16th of January and 20th of March are known. They will represent Latvia in Quebec and Munich in Red Bull Crashed Ice final. Men competition will be presented by Davis Paipa and in women competition will race one of Latvia’s ice hockey team’s player – Laila Dekmeijere. In reserve will stay Ivans Kokins. Expats also gives you chance to see videos from final in Riga and competition in Lausanne(CH)
