Film review "OLD DOGS" (1)Krishjanis Leitis (Latvia) 14.01.2010 13:29 Even with all the respect I have within me towards the Hollywood movie stars of not so long ago I simply can not shake the feeling of this particular film being a very mediocre product. Of course it has its bright and dark sides, like any other, but the only thing I took with me after this film was the fact that everybody dies and one day we all get weak and grumpy, even despite our desperate attempts to look many years younger than our birth certificate states we are. Surely it presented a couple of funny bits and moments where approximately half of the present audience could let loose their tickling funny-bone and laugh as hard as they want to, but in the end this film proved to be a serious and not a funny one. PCP: 2 1/2 Drinks: small Additional Information: 'OLD DOGS' is currently screened only in 2 of the Baltic States simultaneously - (Estonia– ‘Vanad penid’, Latvia– ‘Vecie čomi’). Information Source: www.forumcinemas.lv (.lt and .ee) * 'PopCornPacks' – 1 to 5 (1 being the worst and 5 being the best) & 'Drinks' – small, medium, large ('small' being worst and 'large' being better) While the 'PopCornPacks' give an evaluation of how good or bad the movie might be, the 'Drinks' are the ones that ease the salty after-taste of the popcorn – the larger the drink the better the feeling.
