Film review "HARRY BROWN" (1)

A splendid piece of British filmmaking. With Michael Cane in the leading role it present a ravishing story about a man whose life gets literally interrupted by the uncontrollable and immorally violent youth of today’s Britain. Eye-catching from the very first minute. I do believe that many of viewers will at one or another point in this film see a similarity with their own surroundings whether they live in Britain, Ukraine, Latvia or the U.S. Violence is everywhere and youth is usually its favorite 'means of transportation'.

I enjoyed the way this film portrays the aspect of freedom from the point of view of a retired old man who has witnessed the diverse kind of times throughout his whole life and will not be patronized by some useless youth gangs patrolling the streets day in day out.

PCP: 4 1/2
Drinks: large

Additional Information:
'HARRY BROWN' is currently not schedule to be screened at any of the 3 Baltic States Forum Cinemas movie-theatres during the first part of the year 2010.

*
'PopCornPacks' – 1 to 5 (1 being the worst and 5 being the best)
&
'Drinks' – small, medium, large ('small' being worst and 'large' being better)

While the 'PopCornPacks' give an evaluation of how good or bad the movie might be, the 'Drinks' are the ones that ease the salty after-taste of the popcorn – the larger the drink the better the feeling.
